All our teachers have done advanced work
All practitioners start out as beginner students of the method. And only after passing through intermediate and advanced work with a high degree of personal proficiency do they then start training to be a practitioner.
Training as a Buteyko practitioner is much more than a 2-week course. Teachers can take several years before they are competent to work with the most complex cases. That is why we run our teacher training as an apprenticeship. Trainee teachers teach the method according to their own level of ability while they develop their skills as practitioners.
Class reunions – to support you
We support and encourage the wider community of Buteyko students through “class reunions” for our workshops. Reunions help you keep in touch with other students as well as your practitioner. We find learning and practising the method with the support of others helps a lot.
We live in societies where hyperventilation and its physical and mental symptoms are the norm. Reversing this trend within ourselves is a big achievement. And being in the company of others on the same journey can inspire and motivate you to keep going.
