It can be tricky finding a Buteyko teacher who can help you with your condition. Outside of Russia there’s no scientific institute to assure you that your teacher can get results with your particular condition.

Many Buteyko teachers work alone so they have no one to consult about a tricky case or to take care of students during  holidays.

So what’s different with LearnButeyko?

  1. First hand experience - All our practitioners have reversed our own chronic disease through the Buteyko Method. They have persisted with the method, using advanced methods, to keep their control pauses stable above 40 seconds. This gives them the clarity of mind, resilience and practical experience to support you fully
  2. Classical Buteyko method - As the Buteyko method has come to the West, it has been diluted. Many practitioners only know how to reverse mild asthma. We teach the classical Buteyko method. That’s the way Buteyko taught his patients in Russia – assuring you the quickest, safest results.
  3. Direct lineage to Professor Buteyko - Our team includes some of the most experienced Buteyko practitioners in the West. Our team includes two Russians who worked under KP Buteyko himself. Martha Roe’s supervisor Christopher Drake was the the first Western practitioner to be awarded a diploma from Buteyko’s Moscow Institute. This took him 10 years. Read more about our teachers.
  4. You’ll get intensive follow-up - Retraining your breathing is a bit like learning a musical instrument. You’ll need daily practice, and guidance. All our workshops are followed by 3 weeks of 1:1 supervision. Once your first tranche of work is over, we’ll encourage you to stay in touch so we can monitor your progress.
  5. Advanced training to fully reverse disease - If you’ve been ill for a long time, you will need persistence to fully reverse your disease. You can come back for further tranches of support. And – unusually – we offer advanced Buteyko training – where you’ll work with your mind, diet, exercise and sauna to access higher states of health.
  6. Supervision by an expert in your condition You can count on your LearnButeyko teacher because they can turn to a more experienced practitioner when they need a second opinion. Our two senior Russian consultants, between them, have worked for over 20 years with Professor Buteyko himself. This means we can help with even the most serious, tricky cases such as cancer, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and heart disease.
